National Steering Group

Membership

The National Steering Group is chaired and supported by the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government and consists of representatives of -

• The Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government
• The Department of Health
• The Department of Justice, Equality and Defence
• The Local Authorities
• The Health Service Executive
• An Garda Síochána
• The Defence Forces

 

National Steering Group Terms of Reference

To perform the national level functions set out in the Framework and to -

• oversee the initial development programme for the implementation of the Framework;

• continue to develop, maintain and update the new Framework in light of the experience of its application

• report on these issues to the Government Task Force on Emergency Planning.
